105.3 AFRO FM is the first privately owned English Radio station in Ethiopia (featuring a daily 1 hour French Show). Our station was established under its parent company Paconet Media PLC in 2008 with the coverage capacity of 150KM radius to Addis Ababa and its surroundings broadcasting daily for an elapse time of 18 hours. We reach our global audience in Africa, Europe, America and Asia via our “Online Stream” of which we were the pioneering Ethiopian radio station to introduce this service.
Our target groups are Ethiopian intellectuals, the large Ethiopian and African Diasporas, and the international community (diplomats, ambassadors…), local and foreign investors, college and high school students and women of Addis as well as the English speaking and urban citizens of Ethiopia.
As a broadcasting media outlet, we deliver different shows and feature programs that are exclusive to the broadcasting community touching upon issues and topics such as; The Voice of NGOs, Business and Investment, ICT, Health issues, Travel and Tourism, Lifestyle Matters, among others that appeal to a variety of socio-economic groups and age groups alike. All our programs are informative and raise awareness about Ethiopia and Africa to our esteemed audiences in an effort to promote pride in the roots of our rich and vibrant history as a continent, country and people.
